Wheatley is made at Buffalo Trace Distillery by master distiller Harlen Wheatley, using red winter wheat and the same limestone-filtered water that feeds the distillery's bourbon programmes. Two separate grain recipes are each distilled seven times, then merged and distilled three more — ten in total, followed by triple filtration.
