The whisky
Most grain whisky is made on a single column still to bulk out a blend. Fuji Gotemba runs several grain styles side by side, light and heavy, column and kettle, then marries them into one single grain at the distillery.
The result sits somewhere between Japanese precision and bourbon familiarity, which is exactly why it opens the night at Chin Chin.
