This is where Writers’ Tears adds a bit more depth.

Built from a blend of single malt and single pot still whiskey, then matured in both American oak bourbon barrels and French oak Cognac casks.

That second cask makes the difference.

On the nose, it opens richer than the Copper Pot. Vanilla, cinnamon and stewed fruit with a soft, slightly wine-like lift.

The palate has more weight. Citrus zest, caramel and orchard fruit roll through, layered with chocolate and spice that give it a bit more grip and structure.

The finish lingers longer. Spice, oak and a touch of cocoa carry through with a clean, balanced edge.
