The 2019 release is the 9th edition of Writers’ Tears Cask Strength, a vatting of triple-distilled single malt and single pot still whiskey, matured in bourbon barrels and bottled straight from the cask.

Limited to just 3,780 bottles globally, each one individually numbered and signed.

On the nose, it opens rich and expressive. Apple, chocolate and roasted nuts with a touch of spice.

The palate is full and lively. Honeyed oats, dried fruit and caramel roll through, backed by pepper, spice and a creamy texture that carries the weight of the ABV without getting harsh.

The finish is long and warming. Spice, oak and a lingering sweetness taper off with balance.

Big, bold and still unmistakably Irish.
