Weller Antique 107 is the bottle that turned a quiet Kentucky wheater into one of the most sought after names in American whiskey. It takes the Weller wheated mashbill, the same recipe behind the Van Winkle line, and bottles it at 107 proof, the strength the original W.L. Weller bottlings once carried. The result is a bourbon with real presence: warm, generous and unhurried.

Wheat in place of rye gives Weller its signature softness. Where a rye bourbon leans into pepper and spice, Antique 107 leans into honey, red fruit and toffee, with the extra proof adding depth and a long, glowing finish rather than heat. It is the sweet spot of the range, bigger than Special Reserve, more approachable than Full Proof, and a bottle that rewards both a neat pour and a serious Old Fashioned.

The House

William Larue Weller was a Louisville distiller and merchant in the mid nineteenth century, widely credited with being among the first to use wheat as the secondary grain in bourbon. The brand passed to Stitzel-Weller, the distillery that also gave the world Pappy Van Winkle, and since 1999 has been made at Buffalo Trace in Frankfort, Kentucky. Today the Weller label sits at the heart of the Buffalo Trace wheated portfolio.
