The Islay
Single cask Islay malts, each drawn from the island's stone
Three chapters, three ages, three stones: basalt at sixteen years, red sandstone at twenty and quartzite at thirty. Each bottle comes in its own case.
The whisky
The first chapter of The Islay is drawn from basalt, the dark volcanic stone that formed as lava cooled across Islay's headlands millions of years ago.
Concentrated maturation gives a bold, energetic dram that stays gentle on the palate, layering fruity smoke and coal fires over a clean seam of coastal minerality. Presented in its own case.
