The second chapter of The Dalmore's Cask Curation Series celebrates the distillery's decades-long partnership with the great Port houses of Portugal. Each expression is matured in American white oak ex-Bourbon casks, then finished in an exceptionally rare single-harvest tawny Port cask — bottled at cask strength, at natural colour, and without chill filtration.

What it delivers

• The 27 Year Old — finished in a 1997 single-harvest tawny Port cask. Manuka honey, bergamot and marzipan give way to ripe figs, dark cacao and liquorice.
• The 30 Year Old — finished in a 1994 single-harvest tawny Port cask. Warm honey, blood orange and Medjool dates over dark chocolate, vanilla and patisserie spice.
• The 43 Year Old — the oldest and rarest in the set, finished in a 1952 single-harvest tawny Port cask. Forest fruits, plum compote and marzipan layered with leather, sweet tobacco and soft wood spice.
