The first batch of 2024 and the most widely available of the Stagg releases, though "widely available" is doing some heavy lifting there. Barrel proof, uncut, unfiltered, and aged for a minimum of eight years in charred white oak. Nothing between you and what came out of the barrel.
Layers of citrus, chocolate, caramel, cinnamon, and a faint espresso hit on the nose and palate, all balanced against oak and bold rye spice. The finish is boundless, lingering with cherries, cloves, and smokiness. A serious pour that demands respect and maybe a splash of water until you find your footing.
