This is Overaged… just bigger, and built to be shared.

A vatting of single malts aged between roughly 12 and 27 years, matured in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks deep in Couvreur’s humid Burgundy cellars. It’s all about that balance between youthful energy and long-aged depth, something Couvreur absolutely nails.

The magnum format doesn’t change the whisky, but it changes the moment. This is a bottle you put on the table, not tuck away.

On the nose, it opens rich and expressive. Dried flowers, tobacco and sherried fruit lead, backed by almond, old oak and a faint wisp of smoke that gives it depth.

The palate is where it settles in. Dark fruit, sherry sweetness and nutty richness roll through, layered with spice and oak. It’s full, rounded and deeply satisfying without ever tipping too heavy.

The finish is long and composed. Sherry richness lingers alongside soft smoke and oak, tapering slowly with a dry, elegant edge.

This isn’t flashy whisky.

It’s composed, mature, and built around balance, the kind of dram that rewards sitting with it rather than chasing intensity.

And in magnum… it becomes something else entirely.

A proper centrepiece bottle. Rich, classic, and made to be poured generously.
