Smoke and sherry
M Black balances classic Macallan character with an unexpected peated note. The Whisky Mastery Team drew on rare casks known as black ended, which once held peated whisky, alongside hand-selected sherry-seasoned oak, giving a spirit that is subtly smoky and brooding.
The decanter
It is presented in a hand-crafted decanter of black Lalique crystal, one of the most challenging materials in glass blowing and one of the most demanding pieces Lalique has produced. Designed by Fabien Baron, each decanter is individually numbered, slim and elegant, and its six facets reflect The Macallan's six pillars.
