Crafted entirely from first-fill sherry casks sourced from Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, Litha celebrates the harmony born when distinct cultures and crafts converge.

Founded in 1824, The Macallan has long set the standard for Speyside single malts, with a reputation built on its Six Pillars of excellence — from its Speyside heritage to its mastery of wood and spirit. Each element of production, from oak selection to natural colour, reflects an unwavering commitment to quality and authenticity.

The story of Litha begins in the sun-drenched vineyards of Jerez, where grapes for sherry are meticulously grown and the casks seasoned to The Macallan’s exacting standards. These casks then journey north to Scotland, where The Macallan’s rich, fruity new-make spirit meets their seasoned oak. The result is a whisky defined by its depth, warmth, and radiant character — much like the Celtic summer solstice that inspired its name.

Litha’s presentation, designed by award-winning illustrator Sija Hong, reflects this union. Two distinct colour palettes — Scotland’s cool tones and Spain’s sunlit hues — are bound together by the image of a tree, symbolising the life and energy that flow through every cask.
