This is bourbon — with a Champagne twist.
Dumangin takes American bourbon and reworks it through a French lens, finishing it in Ratafia Champenois casks — a rare fortified wine made exclusively in the Champagne region.
The result is something completely different.
👉 Bourbon structure
👉 Wine cask influence
👉 European finesse layered over American power
The base whiskey is high-rye, giving it a drier, spicier backbone than traditional sweeter bourbons.
It’s then aged in new oak before spending extended time finishing in Ratafia casks — softening, rounding and adding a distinct fruit-driven character.
On the nose, it’s expressive and layered. Red fruit, spice and caramel sit alongside floral notes and a subtle wine-like sweetness.
The palate is where it separates itself.
👉 Rye-driven spice
👉 Dark fruit and wine influence
👉 Silky, rounded texture
Cherry, raisin and plum roll through with caramel, spice and a slightly herbal edge, balanced by a softness that comes from the Ratafia finish.
The finish is long and structured. Spice, oak and fruit linger with a drying edge that keeps it from becoming overly sweet.
This is the key.
👉 Not traditional bourbon
👉 Wine cask transformation
👉 Balance of power and finesse
This isn’t classic Kentucky.
It’s bourbon reimagined.
