Holladay Distillery has been making whiskey in Weston, Missouri since 1856 - and they still do it the slow way.
To call this a Missouri Bourbon, everything has to come from the state: the grain, the oak for the barrels, and every step of distilling, ageing and bottling. Few brands hold themselves to that.
The Soft Red Wheat recipe swaps the usual rye for soft red winter wheat, and the Bottled-in-Bond stamp guarantees a single distilling season, at least four years in a federally bonded warehouse, and exactly 100 proof. This one is held back to a minimum of six.
What it delivers
Wheat makes it gentle, not weak.
Caramel and baked bread up front, then soft honey, vanilla and a light dusting of baking spice. Round, mellow and easy, with just enough oak to keep it honest.
A bourbon built for sipping, not showing off.
Why it matters
It sits at the heart of the Holladay range:
- True Missouri Bourbon - grain, oak and spirit all from the state
- Bottled in Bond, so the quality is guaranteed by law, not marketing
- Soft wheated profile that's approachable without being bland
- From one of America's most historic distilleries
