As one of the few distilleries in the world producing both whisky and rum, Archie Rose matured its single malt in Australian apera, ex-bourbon and its very own ex-rum casks, then bottled this batch at cask strength for maximum intensity.

What it delivers

• Amaretto, raisins and brown-sugar peaches on the nose, deepening into walnut bread, marzipan and cloves
• A velvety, mouth-coating palate of stone fruit, rich caramel, coconut cream and roasted banana
• The higher strength brings a lovely drying balance, with tropical fruit, chocolate and espresso on the finish
