the biroldo is a blend of sangiovese from both mudgee and mclaren vale. mclaren vale seems to make a more fruit driven wine, while the mudgee one seems more structured. blending seems to be the most obvious thing to do with these two vineyards. it creates a sangiovese that has a bit of everything.
