Not bourbon, but this one earns its place. The 55th Anniversary Release is an 18 year old built around a single film: sherry seasoned oak for Bond's taste in sherry, red wine seasoned American oak for the claret that saves his life, and bespoke hybrid casks to tie them together. Red wine casks almost never appear in a Macallan release. If your cabinet has a gap where the Speyside should be, this is an interesting way to fill it. $1,349, allocated for Australia.
