The whisky

Heavily peated to 40 PPM and matured entirely on Islay, this is Port Charlotte's dry peat smoke at its most refined. Made from 100% Scottish barley, then conceived, distilled, matured and bottled on the island using Islay spring water. Non‑chill filtered, with no added colouring.

The casks

The heart of it is first‑fill bourbon (40%), with second‑fill sherry (15%) and ex‑virgin oak (15%) alongside. A portion of the sherry‑matured spirit was recasked into first‑fill red wine casks from the Rhône Valley for five years, then finished for two more in second‑fill bourbon (20%). Refill sherry and wine casks (10%) complete the marriage.
