The series
Micro Provenance is Bruichladdich at its most transparent. Every bottling is a single cask, hand selected by Head Distiller Adam Hannett, and the label tells you everything: the barley, the cask, the day it was filled and the exact warehouse it matured in. Each one is unique and will not be repeated.
Cask #0062
Concerto barley, distilled in April 2014 and laid down in a first-fill Rivesaltes cask, the sweet fortified wine of Roussillon in the south of France. Ten years in warehouse WHSC9 at Bruichladdich, then bottled on Islay at full cask strength. Un-chill filtered, with no colour added.
On the distillery's flavour wheel it leads with fruit, flowers and body, with cereal and grass behind them and only a whisper of smoke.
