The Gospel Bonded Rye Whiskey 50% 700ml
One season. One distiller. One distillery. Australia's first bottled‑in‑bond rye whiskey.
The bonded standard
Bottled in bond
The strictest rules in whiskey, applied in Melbourne
Bottled-in-bond began as American consumer protection in 1897. One distillery, one distiller, one distilling season, at least four years in oak and bottled at 100 proof. The Gospel is the first Australian brand to make a whiskey to that standard.
The whiskey
The Gospel built its name bringing strict American rye rules to Australia. Bonded Rye takes that a step further. Distilled in a single season at a single distillery by Master Distiller Ian Thorn, then matured for more than four years, it captures one moment in time with nothing blended in from another. It is the most deliberate whiskey the distillery has put in a bottle.
Grain and wood
The mash is 100% Australian unmalted rye from a single farm in the Murray Mallee, on the border of Victoria and South Australia, where a harsh, dry climate produces small, dense, intensely flavoured grain. It is double distilled in Brunswick and laid down in heavily toasted, single-forest new American oak, with a char profile refined over years of trials.
Four years and more in Melbourne's swinging climate drive the spirit deep into the wood, building depth and structure without losing the grain's signature spice.
