New Riff Silver Grove: Six Years Changes Everything

New Riff Silver Grove: Six Years Changes Everything

Mar 12, 2026

New Riff's stepping up their game with Silver Grove, a new six-year expression replacing their standard four-year bourbon and rye. Both the bourbon and rye get the extra ageing, bringing more depth without losing the distillery's signature clean, grain-forward character.

The Silver Grove line drops this month in the US, with the bourbon at 100 proof and the rye maintaining their bottled-in-bond 50% ABV. Pricing sits around $50–55 USD, which puts it in interesting territory against established six-year bottlings.

For Australian buyers, this is one to watch. New Riff's been gaining traction here for their transparency and no-nonsense approach to whiskey making. The four-year was solid; six years should bring oakier complexity while keeping that grain character people rate. Expect local pricing north of $200 if and when it lands, but if you're building a serious American whiskey collection, this deserves shelf space.

The move signals New Riff's maturing stocks are finally hitting their stride. Worth tracking down when it reaches Australian retailers.
