The Australian
Squire Barrel Pick
One barrel. Chosen by Australian Squires.
The first barrel ever selected by the Australian Tennessee Squire Association, drawn from a single barrel at the Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg and bottled at barrel strength.
It was chosen in a room in Sydney this August. Australian Squires sat down together with three samples drawn straight from the barrel at 62.5%, each carrying one of the Jack Daniel's barrel pick profiles: Full-Bodied & Robust, Flavorful & Balanced, and Sweet Forward. They worked through them side by side, went back, tasted again, and settled on one. No committee in Tennessee, no marketing brief. Just a room of people who have earned their place in the Association, making a call on behalf of it.
The vote was an overwhelming win for Full-Bodied & Robust, with Flavorful & Balanced second and Sweet Forward a distant third. That is the barrel being bottled.
The release
- Distillery Jack Daniel Distillery, Lynchburg, Tennessee
- Expression Single Barrel, barrel strength
- Profile Full-Bodied & Robust
- Selected by Australian Tennessee Squire Association, Sydney, 2026
- Plaque Every bottle carries the Inaugural Australian Squire marking
A single barrel is exactly that. What went into the wood is all there is, and the character of this whiskey belongs to that one barrel and the room that picked it. Once the barrel is emptied it is finished. There is no second run.
Pre-orders open · two bottles per Squire
This is a pre-order for a whiskey that has not yet been bottled. Payment is taken at the time of order. Bottles are expected to land approximately nine months from the date of selection, subject to bottling, labelling, export and customs clearance. Timeframes are indicative only and may move.
By placing a pre-order you acknowledge that this is a single barrel selection. The flavour profile is known. Final strength and bottle count come from the barrel itself and will be confirmed once it is emptied.
A pre-order is a commitment to take delivery of the release when it arrives. Orders cannot be cancelled or refunded once the barrel allocation is confirmed with the distillery, other than where required under the Australian Consumer Law. Limit of two bottles per person. If you need to change your delivery address before dispatch, contact us and we will update it.
Sold and supplied by Daniel's Whisky Holdings Pty Ltd, Liquor Licence No. LIQP770018009. It is against the law to sell or supply alcohol to, or to obtain alcohol on behalf of, a person under the age of 18 years.
Jack Daniel's
10 Years Old, Batch 5
Ten Lynchburg summers, bottled at 97 proof.
The 10 Years Old is the longest-running age-stated whiskey in the Jack Daniel Distillery lineup, and Batch 5 is the fifth instalment in that annual limited run. It starts from the classic Tennessee mash bill, is mellowed drop by drop through ten feet of sugar maple charcoal, then spends a full decade resting in barrel.
What it delivers
- Cooked apple and caramel on the nose, with soft oak sitting behind
- Rich molasses, chocolate and barrel spice through the palate
- A long, warm finish carried by the higher 48.5% strength
- Noticeably more oak depth than the standard Old No. 7 profile
Why it matters
- A double-digit age statement is a rarity for this distillery
- Batch 04 cleared its 2025 allocation in under a week
- Bottled at 97 proof rather than the standard 80
