The 2025 release of Michter’s 20 Year Bourbon is drawn from a tiny selection of barrels that have held their structure deep into extended ageing. Bottled at 114.2 proof, it carries both weight and precision — something not all ultra-aged bourbons manage to balance.
There’s richness here, but not the kind that tips into over-oaked territory. Instead, it leans into layered sweetness and depth — butterscotch, honey, dark fruit and leather - all held together with a long, composed finish.
This isn’t produced every year, and when it is, the numbers are tight - often only a few hundred bottles making it to market.
It sits right at the top of the Michter’s range for a reason.
