Michter’s don’t chase numbers — they chase flavour.
And the 10 Year is probably the clearest example of that.
Every release is built from barrels aged beyond a decade, held back until they hit the right profile. Some push well past the 10-year mark before ever seeing a bottle.
The 2025 release follows that same approach. Selected barrel by barrel, bottled at 94.4 proof, and released only when it meets their internal standard — not a schedule.
What it delivers
This isn’t about pushing proof or chasing extremes.
It’s about balance.
Dark toffee and caramel sit up front, backed by charred oak, maple and vanilla — classic bourbon territory, but dialled in properly.
There’s weight, but it doesn’t collapse into oak. Sweetness, but not syrupy. Structure, without being aggressive.
That’s why it works.

The 10 Year sits in a very specific place in the Michter’s lineup:

- Below the 20 and 25 Year releases
- And often the most complete drinking experience of the lot
It’s also one of the few allocated bourbons that:
