This is Fettercairn at its most refined.
Aged for over two decades in first-fill American oak, this release strips things back to what the distillery does best, clean spirit, tropical fruit, and long, patient maturation. No heavy finishes, no tricks. Just time and good casks doing the work.
On the nose, it opens bright but composed. Pineapple, mango and peach lead the way, layered with vanilla custard, almond and soft floral honey. There’s a freshness here that belies the age, lifted but still grounded.
The palate builds beautifully. Creamy and full without being heavy. Ripe tropical fruit rolls through first, backed by malt, white chocolate and gentle spice. There’s a quiet oak presence underneath, giving it structure rather than dominance.
The finish is long and evolving. Oak spice, gingerbread and soft dryness come through, with lingering fruit and a slightly savoury edge that keeps it interesting to the end.
This isn’t about big cask influence or bold flavour swings. It’s about balance, texture and maturity, letting the distillery character shine through after two decades in oak.
A composed, elegant Highland whisky. Built for slow sipping and those who appreciate restraint over noise.
