Batch 023 starts with Balcones, one of the pioneers of American single malt, produced in Waco where extreme heat dramatically accelerates maturation and intensifies flavour.

At around 6 years old, the whisky shows maturity far beyond its age — thanks to Texas conditions where ageing can feel closer to double that of Scotland.

Then Dumangin steps in.

The whisky is finished for around 21 months in Ratafia Champenois casks, adding softness, fruit and a distinctly wine-driven layer over the powerful Texas base.
