Octomore 16.2 provides a compelling comparison to 16.1, using the same heavily peated Scottish Mainland Concerto barley but with a dramatically different maturation profile. Distilled in 2019, this five-year-old expression spends four years in Oloroso sherry and Bordeaux wine casks, before a final year's finishing in Madeira and Portuguese Moscatel casks, creating extraordinary wine-influenced complexity.
