Flor de Caña 12 is aged in ex-bourbon American oak at the base of the San Cristóbal volcano, using the distillery's slow-ageing process with no added sugar and no additives. It is not built to be sweet or heavy. It is built to be balanced, and that dryness is what separates it from most rums at this age.

What it delivers

• Red fruits, honey and toasted nuts on the nose, with vanilla and light spice behind
• A smooth, rounded palate of caramel, baked apple and vanilla over oak and gentle spice
